China, Rome, and Egypt have some similarities and differences. All of these civilizations are by a major water source, and they all have different types of land. China, Rome, and Egypt all were had major water sources. The major water sources are the Yangtze (China), Tiber (Rome), and the Nile (Egypt). These rivers helped the civilizations thrive and grow. The Yangtze allowed the Chinese to make terrace rice farms, and The Nile fertilized the area around it and left it with rich soil for farming. The Tiber river could be used for traders to travel up from the Mediterranean Sea. These civilizations were also different because they all had different land types. Egypt was a vast desert with fertile land along the Nile. China has mountains, deserts and flat lands.China had the Himalayas, the Gobi Desert, and fertile rice terraces in the center of the empire. Rome had mountains but was flat as well and was a busy trading center with the Tiber River. This shows that these lands had a lot different terrains. China, Egypt and Rome had different land types which made them good for different things. With these different land types they could produce resources others could not.

Kya and Itanella are comparing and contrasting China, Rome, and Greece.

In ancient civilization geography was a big part of life. For many people geography, such as roads and different paths helped get to certain destinations. Geography also influenced people from different life styles to come together and trade goods. Civilizations such as China, Rome, and Greece discovered many similarities and differences with their geography. Differences were also discovered of China, Rome, and Greece's landscapes that make these civilizations unique.

Many Ancient Civilizations changed the world with their different types of geography and landmarks. For people in China, Rome, and Greece their geography background is very similar yet, very different. China, Rome, and Greece are very mountainous civilization. China is revolved around the gigantic Himalayan Mountain Range. All of these civilizations are also revolved around the Mediterranean Sea. China, Rome, and Greece are also known for their rivers. Such as China's Yellow River, Rome's Tiber River, and Greece's Maritsa Rivers.

Many Ancient Civilizations changed the world with their different types of geography and landmarks. One of the many ways that Rome was very different from China and Greece was Pompeii, Pompeii was covered in ashes more than 100 years. The people in Pompeii were turned to stone as the ash was hitting them. The main way that China was very different from any other Civilization was the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China is 3,000 miles long. The Great wall of China was destroyed and built again. Also Greece was very different because the Mountains divided people. Also Greece is located on the Southern point of the Balkan Peninsula and is by 4 bodies of water. One of the 4 bodies of water is the Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, Black Sea, and the Adriatic Sea.

Geography of ancient civilizations have several similarities and differences in which make them very unique.

Zach and Nader:

Throughout the time of Mesopotamia, Ancient India, and Ancient Greece geography has affected the outcome of history and shaped the world that is here today. Cold mountains, or scorching deserts have made each civilization adapt and change. With the civilizations changing the world changed with it.

Mesopotamia, India. and Greece have Geographies that are similar in many ways. Mesopotamia, India and Greece have hills and mountains that cover their landscape. Having a civilization that has to flourish in this type of environment can be difficult. Mountains and hills act as a natural barrier between different cities/towns and make communicating and trading more difficult. In Mesopotamia we can see that the deserts are filled with slight hills. India has some great mountains such as the Mountains of Sikkim, and the Ancient Indian Mountains. Greece has mountains such as Olympus and Ida. In addition to mountains there are also areas that border large areas of water. These parts of each civilization rely heavily on the sea for transportation and food. The Greeks connected their city-states via water, and all three used theirs for trade and even caravans to travel across as shortcuts for alternate routes. The India, Mesopotamia and Greece also have sandy places covering their terrain such as beaches and deserts. Mesopotamia has deserts such as the Syrian desert. Greece and India also have many beaches that are filled with sand. India has also a few deserts covering its land. As you can see all three civilizations have a wide ranges of climates and regional geographies. All three civilizations had to have ways to adapt to these changes and be a successful as they were. These are the similarities Mesopotamia India, and Greece had about geography, but they also had many differences in how their land was shaped.
